Refund policy

A predictable workflow for cancelled, postponed and materially changed events.

Pre-launch draft. Provider timelines and the platform operator's legal details must be finalized before accepting payments.

Cancelled events

Sales stop as soon as cancellation is confirmed. Valid affected tickets are revoked and the buyer is entitled to the full amount paid for them, including mandatory ticket fees. Tika may process the organizer-funded refund on the organizer's behalf.

Postponed or materially changed events

The organizer must state whether existing tickets remain valid and define a clear refund window. Buyers will be informed using the order email. A material change may include a substantial change of date, venue or advertised event content.

Buyer-requested refunds

A ticket is not automatically refundable because the buyer can no longer attend. A voluntary refund is available only when the event-specific terms, organizer approval or applicable law permits it.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds normally return to the original payment method. Processing time depends on the payment provider and buyer's bank. Tika records each request, provider reference, amount and affected ticket so the same refund cannot be paid twice.

Invalid claims

A ticket already refunded or revoked cannot be used. Suspected duplicate, fraudulent or chargeback-related claims may be placed under review while transaction records are reconciled.
